INTELETRAVEL ACHIEVES PRINCESS COMMODORE STATUS
Agency Selected For Special 5% Override
(Delray Beach, Florida; April 1, 2007) With InteleTravel.com Independent Travel Agents reaching Commodore status in Princess Cruises' Princess Academy travel agent training programs, InteleTravel.com has been selected for a special 5% override commission on Caribbean and Mexico sailings. Starting March 11, and through December 31, 2007, InteleTravel will earn the extra 5% override commission on all new Caribbean and Mexico cruises that sail between September 29, 2007 and April 30, 2008.
Through its website and the Princess Academy, Princess offers excellent sales tools and online courses to help Agents promote these and other departures. At www.Princess.com, the newly launched One Source Notices provides convenient online access to all recently announced special promotions. Agents simply log into the Travel Agent link at the bottom of the home page, and can also call 800-PRINCESS to order a variety of marketing materials.
"Exclusive offers like this are just one of the many benefits for agencies and individual independent travel agents of participating in supplier training programs like the Princess Academy. Best of all, Agents are receiving professional training and skill development that will help them grow their home-based businesses in travel," said a spokeperson for Princess Cruises.
InteleTravel.com's James Ferrara, senior vice president of Marketing & Communications, said, "We encourage all of our agents to enroll in these programs, increase professionalism, achieve recognition (like Princess Commodore status), and as a result have more fun in travel. We do more than any other agency I know of to promote and distribute these educational opportunities from suppliers, and respected industry organizations such as CLIA, The Travel Institute, Travel Agent University, Cruise University, ASTA, and many others. Higher commissions, like this generous override from Princess, are some of the most practical - and convincing - arguments for that policy. Learn More to Earn More!"
Established in 1998 as the online successor to the earlier InteleTravel International, one of the originators of the home-based travel agent concept (1992), InteleTravel.com has a worldwide network of thousands of full and part-time independent travel agents who refer families, friends, co-workers, etc., to its booking technology to purchase most major travel products. In return, agents earn up to 80% of the agency's commissions. Today, the concept has become a pillar of the travel industry, accounting for 7 billion dollars a year in travel sales, according to a 2006 Credit Suisse First Boston report. InteleTravel.com is planning a complete re-launch of its website, preferred supplier program, and other services in 2007. The agency is endorsed by IATAN, and a member of CLIA, ARTA and OSSN.
